Na, far too many people suffer from this affliction, more then those who don't so therefore those who do not have this are disabled as they are disadvantaged Wink

TheLadyEvenstar · 23/08/2010 00:41

Belle, yes but really we are the advantaged ones

From the title i thought for a split second that another anti-sn troll had posted. Grin

Ignorance is very tragic!! Wink

TheLadyEvenstar · 23/08/2010 00:48

Well, legally, we are at a severe disadvantage as there's soooo few of us Wink
Ignorance and lack of common sense are in the same group I think.

TheLadyEvenstar · 23/08/2010 00:52

I think we should start our own political party and educate the ignorant!!!

TheLadyEvenstar · 23/08/2010 00:58

OP - by ignorance do you mean uneducated, unaware or uninformed? Or do you really mean a different view point to yours?

TheLadyEvenstar · 23/08/2010 07:15

Norweigian, no i don't mean a differnt point of view i mean truely ignorant people - so yes uneducated, unaware or uninformed and not willing to learn.

I don't know about it being a disabity but other people's ignorance is certainly our biggest problem.

I don't mind if people initially don't understand what's going on with ds1 when they come across him. I do comprehend that it's difficult for people to realise that a child who looks entirely 'normal' can have severe learning disabilities. And if after looking initially horrified they laugh or smile or say 'oh that's ok' then it's fine. But it's the twunts who continue to act as if he just needs a good talking to when I've explained that he's 11 and unable to speak and that he doesn't understand what they are saying that I would personally like to strangle. You would be surprised how many of them there are out there.
