Have just told a crying 8yr old that she really needs to go to sleep now!
IABU right, and a meanie to boot!
But they have been up and down in and out, messing about all night, woken my 2 yr old numerous times, and its bloody gone midnight!!

Why is she crying?

JjandtheBeanlovesUnicorns · 21/08/2010 00:04

yanbu, why do people think sleepovers are necessary?

everytime i see my nephews they are white and have black circles under there eyes from a shit night sleep at yet another sleep over, is a day not long enough really

macdoodle · 21/08/2010 00:06

God only knows why she is crying, they have eaten too much crap and are overtired, thats the problem. My DD1 is desperate to go to sleep, I have done the sympathy, the calm talking, the cuddles, but now I am fed up and just said really firmly, you have to go to sleep now!!

My dd1 is 17 and 'slept' at her friend's last night. This evening she was overtired, and had to be sent to bed. I hate sleepovers!

Starbuck999 · 21/08/2010 00:30

Grin at sending a 17 yr old to bed! That made me laugh!

usualsuspect · 21/08/2010 00:31

How do you send a 17 year old to bed ? my 17 year old would look at me like this Hmm

Starbuck999 · 21/08/2010 00:33

I rarely even made an appearance at home when I was 17! "overtired" is a funny word to use for a teenager too! Smile

usualsuspect · 21/08/2010 00:37

My 17 year old regularly sleeps on his mates floors ..staggers in and goes to bed for the rest of the day

stleger · 21/08/2010 00:39

Sending might be an exaggeration. She took herself off to bed after throwing a mug of cold tea at her brother, who was winding her up and should know better Grin.

(All the teeny mums are here - are we all waiting the return of our kiddies?)

usualsuspect · 21/08/2010 00:46

No mines here tonight ..alone for a change .sykping very loudly though ,usually theres a few sprawled in his room on a Friday night Grin

stleger · 21/08/2010 00:47

Last one of mine is just in!

usualsuspect · 21/08/2010 00:51

Nice when they are all safely home Smile
