Bit decadent - I'll only drink 1 glass...(and then have to leave it to go a bit flat - although it won't be wasted)

Bottle's been there for eons, was present, DH has no interest in owt but beer (he's at work)...

I'll go with the majority verdict.

I'm scared of opening the bottle though.

open it!

i'll take a glass as well :)

yousaidit · 20/08/2010 21:59

Open it! open it! open it! And drink it all!

Mowiol · 20/08/2010 22:02

Do it - it'll only go to waste otherwise and you know this to be true!

QueeferSutherland · 20/08/2010 22:02

YADDDNBU.

Open it.
Enjoy it.

I'm a bit hard-up at the mo, but have lots of champers.
We have been living on beans and bolly.

I am schlurping a 15yo Rioja Gran Reserva at the mo that we had been "saving", but opened this evening to toast having 68p to last us the rest of the month.

Cheers!

Great - You've made my mind up....

There you go - two of my finest glasses full to your good selves.

Ha ha - the shit day that was today has suddenly improved.

Thanks.

At the risk of sounding like the wino Auntie - why will you only have one glass?

kittycat37 · 20/08/2010 22:06

oops - x posts - glasses to the rest of yous too...

It's LUSH by the way.

QueeferSutherland - I like your style. Sounds a bit like us.

This particular bottle was given us by very rich friends (I don't think they have any idea how poor we are compared to them).

God my post sounded so.....snotty.

I don't mean it to be Smile

Boys2mam · 20/08/2010 22:09

Oh kittycat8 the very best of reasons Smile

kittycat37 · 20/08/2010 22:12

I really should make some dinner too...

Ahhhhhhhhh.....so can't be bothered.

Spent whole morning in traffic standstill on M25 on way to see poor parents (both serious health problems).

Saw parents, was nice, apart from worrying about them and the problems caused by their SHITTY care agency who are so unreliable.Angry

Drove back, poor DDs exhausted, more traffic, tried to get them to bed hours later than usual, took ages.

Oooh... luvverly! I'm a bit Envy now. The bottle of pink champagne I was saving was consumed last week on a beautiful Hebridean beach. Only the (delicious) memories remain... sob.

kittycat37 · 20/08/2010 22:14

Boy2mam - not snotty at all. I would also think it a bit weird for someone to drink 1 glass under normal circumstances. Grin

There's nothing like bubbles to make you feel better about the world. Apart from diamonds, obv.

minimoonumbertwo · 20/08/2010 22:15

Open it & put a spoon in the neck that will keep it fizzy for tomorrow night's glass!

kittycat37 · 20/08/2010 22:15

Sparlky - that is romantic. I'm Envy of you Grin

YABU to not be scared of horrid corks popping

YABU to even think of only having one glass

YANBU to want to get pissed on have a glass of champagne if you happen to have some in your fridge

Enjoy!

floweryblue · 20/08/2010 22:23

no can't do crossing out, about the third time I've tried now!

floweryblue · 20/08/2010 22:24

help!

Boys2mam · 20/08/2010 22:24

I read a little about drinking whilst bf when DS2 was teeny - now if I get flamed then forgive me but....

...as I understood it the crossover effect of the alcohol is one concern and the other in inability to keep the baby safe whilst intoxicated.

If 2 glasses of bubbly is likely to have this affect then fair enough otherwise "cheers" Smile

ChippingIn · 20/08/2010 22:28

Floweryblue you have to do each word separately!

QoS - will you be OK till the end of the month??

QueeferSutherland · 20/08/2010 22:35

I hope think you're right there, Boys2mam.

The spoon thing does seem to work, although I have a champagne stopper thingy.

Yeah, Chipping in, I've got a freezer full of "mince suprise". Grin
