I am sooooo fucking angry with it all I just cant have another arguement with my DSD about tv.
I have had to leave the family room because I have just about had enough of trying to calmly explain why it is wrong that mothers are spending money to have their DDs stand infront of a panel to be judged on their beauty.. or why it is not necessary for the 'contestants' on britains next top model to do all the photoshoots naked covered in food or some othe r seualised prop... or why Paris Hilton getting women to wear tiny bikinis while perform demeaning and degrading tasks to compete to be her best friend is just fucking wrong.. talk about female chauvanist pigs!!!!!

ARghhhhhhhhh and dont get me started on Kiss videos... What can I do???!!!!!

The worst thing is she's not even my daughter. Her mum watches this stuff with her and loves it. She thinks Im a boring old prude and I dont normally care because I know Im right. Recently I have started to explain more about why I disagree with it all and I thought I was getting somewhere but apparently not.

thats what we do...watch important stuff (like neighbours) on iplayer - but it doesn't dominate our lives any more because we pick things we want to watch and that is rarley more than two programs per day now.

I really didn't like breakfast tv either and found I couldn't stop myself from turning on - bit like a car crash tv.

Enjoy the radio much mroe in the mronings now Grin

Wish DH would let me ditch the TV! We've got a projector which is fab for films and means I wouldn't have to watch crap tv all night.
