I mean - they have to be the most unreasonable people ever. They're alway entertaining.

Does anyone else get a certain frisson at a certain thread type.

Yep I love it too! I have just read the one below about the double whammy - two separate weddings - the friend and the SIL.

Moondog suggested going to the beach instead and flicking V signs in their general direction. PMSL. :o

The SIL threads, the more evil unreasonable demented their behaviour the better: I don't have any SILs, so those threads are like car crash TV a window into the bizarre.

i just hope wedding guest would turn up, they should know me by now.

all i ask for is no photo on facebook, and if the kids start getting bored or are crying then take them out ( even if it is my kids) as i have an area for children aqau draw and a range of toys and child minder who is there to entertain (but not babysit)

in the reception, do what the hell you want, but please respect that in the main part of the wedding ( getting wed) i just want to get throught it

Jamieandhismagictorch · 20/08/2010 01:33

I kind of despair at the wedding ones, and the facebook ones. Don't get it at all. I know that sounds patronising and doesn't answer your question.

I get a lot of warm feelings from agreeing vehemently with people about poor driving, or dog poo or the myriad other things that are totally unreasonable

I salivate freely at the bridezilla threads, too.

Facebook leaves me cold - not on it. The bracing critiques of MNers are about my limit. :o

WurzelBoot · 20/08/2010 09:16

Me too! They seem to serve a dual purpose of gettting judgey about someone acting irrationally (and they will be) and also think about wedding dresses and start idly daydreaming about what would be nice for DCs weddings (if they get married) (not to each other) (If they invite me to help).

I like the driving ones too, but would quite like a one-size-fits-all driving thread so I can rant about whoever ticked me off on the drive to work.

www.etiquettehell.com

knock yourselves out. :)

(PS- I love bridezilla thread too)

anyabanya · 20/08/2010 09:23

... there is a section on etiquettehell devoted to bridezillas, groomzillas and mother of thebirdezillas. But they have changed the layout so may take some searching.

cornsillkk · 20/08/2010 09:23

somone link to the bridezilla thread - I've missed it

Pancakeflipper · 20/08/2010 09:27

No not at all unreasonable... I almost squeal with excitement at the prospect of selfish insanity. It's so removed from reality and seems often to be people who are usually decent citizens totally losing the plot. Hilarious stuff.

I think it's cos' I would never have had a super expensive big do because I can't think of anything more stressful.
