DD1 (nearly 9) has a friend coming over for the day today, we plan to go out somewhere depending on the weather.

Arrangements with friends mother was she will drop her here when they were all up, knowing she has 3 DS and is heavily pregnant with DC4, and my 2 are early risers, offered to come and get friend, she said no problem I'll drop her off.

I didnt mention to mother that I am at work tonight, so will need to either drop her off about 5:30pm or she will have to stay here with babysitter until they collect her. Was planning on mentioning it when they got here, thinking all day would be plenty of time.

Of course, they are not here yet, my 2 are chomping at the bit to go out, and the day is rapidly looking shorter.

I have texted and rung, no answer.

What time would you think was reasonable to drop off for a day out, or AIBU to think gone 11 is a bit late now Hmm

I think if it were me I'd expect them around 9.30-10am, but she's got3 children (how old?) and is heavily pregnant- maybe she's finding it hard to get organised, or if her dc's have slept in a bit is taking advantage of the rest?

Well in that situation, I would've parked outside your house and waited for the curtains to move so I could kick the kid out of the car! But I would say 10am is reasonable.

Maybe she doesnt want to impose by getting there too early? Could send a quick text askign what time?

Sounds very fustrating but... you say you have texted and rung with no answer.... any change she's in labour, how "heavily" pg is she?

BTW - park/text idea sounds reasonable too

TheInvisibleManDidIt · 19/08/2010 12:30

What time did they arrive?

Or are you still waiting? I agree park and text is a good idea.
