We have tiny bedrooms in our flat. We only moved in in April and so far have been managing with clothes rails (which keep collapsing).
We decided to order wardrobes, DH didnt want flat pack (which we could have got within the week)so we went for the over a grand solid wood ones, a three door for the smaller bedroom (which only fits the warrobe and a cot ( I am a child minder, plus a toy storage)
And a 6 door which would fit in the alcove, apart from that we can fit a chest of drawers and our normal size bed.
So today is the day they are arriving, Dh is away, I have the week off, so no mindees in.
I had to do it this week as EVERYTHING from the bedrooms and hallway has to be moved into the lounge so that we can get the new wardrobes in.
Ds, DDIL and DGD came last night, helped me move everything out, I slept on the mattress on the floor last night feeling very exposed in a ground floor flat as couldnt get to the windows to pull the curtains, should have thought of that!)
So this morning I phone the delivery company to find out what time approx they are coming.
They are not.
Delivery company have just been told that they did not pass factory inspection on Monday, so they will be at least another 14 days!
I am not blaming Delivery Company, not there fault, but bloody hell if the manufacturers knew on Monday why didn't they let me know!.
Now I have got to wait till another delivery date, pray that it is not when DH is on nights, but on a stand down day, so that he can be here and I can take mindees out for the day, because I cannot take another day off!.
