To really really hate automated text message systems?

My agencies all seem to have bought these - and they're doing my head in. Day I go out to work... text reminding me to get my timesheet signed (yes if I don't do this I don't get paid - think I know by now after 4 years in this job)... text to remind me to send my timesheet back... text to remind me to send my timesheet back by Friday.

Then the mobile company text me at least 6 times a month (fair play one of these is my bill) with stupid pap like "you can check your balance by phoning the number that's already stored in your phone as 'check balance'".

Phone's gone off about 8 times this morning and not a single one of these messages has been of any relevance to me - no wonder during term time I refer to the phone as an electronic ball and chain.

Grrr... that's before you get onto the naffing automated diallers that are doing the rounds of our number at the moment again as well. Sick of paying money to have the facility to be endlessly pestered.

YANBU, I hate this too, especially when I'm actually wanting a particular text from a particular person and all I get is BS from these shitty automated things. I share your rage, believe me!

A mixed blessing. I would get irritated with that volume of texting but I do like that (for example) the hospital and dentist text me a few days before my appointment and the school text to say a school trip return is delayed or they are closed for snow.
