Inspired from another thread , (pg woman rants about someone anouncing their PG on her due date ).
Lets have a thread about those hormonal moments that will haunt us forever...

My personal favorite pregnancy induced rant was when i gave a greengrocer an earfull because i thought his carrots looked funny.
I swear they were penis shaped carrots in the display ...not approprate when there is pregnant women and toddlers in the shop. WinkGrinConfusedBlush

Not a rant but a moment of crazy. DH came home to find me bawling my eyes out..Keeps pushing me to tell him whats wrong.. (he was worried it was to do with the baby)I didn't want to tlel him what had upset me so much.

I had been on amazon looking for baby books.. and as my husband had been a fan of the Mog the cat series I was looking at buying some. I got to the last book in the series where Mog dies, and was reading the reviews.. and started crying uncontrollably.

I finally told him why I was crying because he was so worried.. and he laughed. Oh how the bastard laughed and wouldn't stop.

droves · 11/08/2010 12:07

Sanielle , mog last book is very sad . poor mog Sad . no wonder you cried.

The Queen visited our area when I was 13 days overdue, so I trundled/rolled out to gather with everyone else to watch. I kept being pushed into the barrier by a rather old lady behind me, so I offered to decorate her rather posh shoes with amniotic fluid if she continued... Blush

She did stop, however.

NewbeeMummy · 11/08/2010 12:53

I sat on a woman who wouldn't give up her seat on the tube for me.

I got seriously pissed off with another mum who I am good friends with, because she was due a week after me and got induced at 5 days over where I had to wait 14! Blush
Thankfully we're still good friends

OneTwoBuckleMyShoe · 11/08/2010 12:58

I was found by my DH sobbing over a sliced white loaf and lump of chedder.

I REALLY wanted cheese on toast, I love the smell.

Unfortunately I am VERY allergic to hard cheese so was not a good idea to eat it, so I cried instead Blush

coraltoes · 11/08/2010 13:00

WTF!? Mog DIES?! Oh my god, nobody read me that one at school!!!! oh my god!!!!

Mine isn't about me, but my mate was 1 week overdue, nobody offered her a seat on the tube so she shouted "if you bunch of motherfckers dont offer me a seat in the next 2 seconds i'm going to give birth all over your cnting shoes" This at Bank station, all office types, smart suits, stunned faces. I nearly keeled over with shock. She never ever swears!

ratspeaker · 11/08/2010 13:00

You were lucky you were at home crying about Mog.
I read it in a bookshop and cried my eyes out. Wasn't even pregnant at the time!

The way I remember it I was serene and calm through all my pregancies, hubby has another view on that though

I did get a bit tetchy when in labour and Saln n Pepa's "let's talk about sex " was played on the radio

droves · 11/08/2010 13:01

Grin these are hillarious !

I was also caught sobbing by dh ....because i couldnt get the streaks off a window i was trying to clean!

It comes up in coversation a lot. Hmm

Newbee: you sat on a woman? You need to tell that story!

peppapighastakenovermylife · 11/08/2010 13:04

I didn't know Mog dies Shock.

I am 39.5 weeks pregnant - this is not the time to be telling me this!

I cried once when pregnant with DS when DH suggested I had too much gravy on my plate. To be fair it was over flowing but did it really matter? Unfortunately we were in a restaurant at the time...

Wanderingsheep · 11/08/2010 13:10

These are hilarious! Grin really cheered me up, thanks !

pumperspumpkin · 11/08/2010 13:10

I cried hysterically in John Lewis' nursery department because it was a bit busy that Saturday afternoon. I cried and cried and cried (with my poor DH patting my shoulder nervously) until the staff came over and gave us a voucher for a cup of tea and a piece of cake in the cafe (subtext - please go, you're freaking us out).

Baby arrived the next day.

anonacfr · 11/08/2010 13:15

Newbee and Coraltoes those tube stories are priceless!
I've always wanted to do things like that but never had the nerve. Grin

emptyshell · 11/08/2010 13:15

I didn't know Mog dies and I'm a flipping primary teacher!

I did bawl my eyes out at a cutscene in a computer game hubby was playing the other day (I'm only 5 weeks in but already in hormone hell) - it's a flipping cutscene I've seen a million times before cos I've completed that game twice. I don't generally cry at films or anything at all really.

Lavitabellissima · 11/08/2010 13:16

PMSL @ Coraltoes' friend. I assume someone gave her a seat?

Wanderingsheep · 11/08/2010 13:19

PumpersPumkin, I might try that to get free tea and cake!

sanielle · 11/08/2010 13:20

I hadn't even read the book! or any of the first ones.. It was JUST the reviews. I just couldn't get over how sad it was that Mog died.. even though I hadn't read it! Blush

I do like the other crazy crying stories I don't feel so bad now..especially the one about cheese!

droves · 11/08/2010 13:21

emptyshell - hormones are worse at the begining and the end of pg ! you`ll have a middle bit when your more like yourself ! Grin
congrats btw !

At about 8 or 9 weeks pregnant and feeling sick to my stomach, I sobbed at DP 'you don't love me at ALL' because he'd done a stinky poo in the bathroom just before I was going to brush my teeth.

Slight overreaction.

anonacfr · 11/08/2010 13:25

emptyshell what was the game/cutscene?

EricNorthmansmistress · 11/08/2010 13:29

I cried watching pride parade at the wonderful LGBT Christian float. Of all the things. The night I went into labour at 2am I cried because my feet were too cold and I couldn't sleep. I cried at some small boys singing that pa rupapumpum song on GMTV (how? I wasn't pg over christmas!) maybe that was soon after DS was born!

Dizzydollybird · 11/08/2010 13:34

The week before my mat leave, someone at work ate my last babybell cheese. I was incandesant with rage, shouting and bawling at the injustice of depriving my baby of calcium. I eventually collapsed into a sobbing crying heap Sad

(Did feel justified in calling unknown thief a motherf**ker as they dropped/smooshed the red wax on the floor and I nearly fell on my ass, insult to injury literally when I realised it was MY wax!!)

breathtakingben · 11/08/2010 13:34

Also curious about this cutscene?

Eglu · 11/08/2010 13:43

I also cried at DH who when I was early stages of pg with DS2 and feeling rough as anything decided to get up one Sunday morning and make himself an omlette with chorizo in for breakfast.

I couldn't go into the kitchen to get my own breakfast and he didn't get why I was so upset.
