I used all the milk to eat sugary cereal I forbid them to consume.

Now they will have to have watery porridge with a box of old perfectly good raisins I found in the nappy bag.

Actually I left just enough milk for my tea.

Ahh, them little darlings! Quick defrost all the odd bread crusts accumulating in the bottom of the freezer in time for the breakfast.....they will NEVER know!

Nah mrs Rhett,...I reckon Slouch has had the tea away tonight, she'll make 'em share their smoothies with her in the morning Wink

Ah you see but we've returned from holiday and the cupboard is bare, except for a few tragic dried fruits and several boxes of Healthy Cereal that are most unsatisfying when prepared with tap water.

Mr Ocado Man will save the day but not before breakfast...

unless they want peanut butter on a bite-marked corner of stale garlic and rosemary focaccia. Or peanut butter stuffed celery sticks with said sad sultanas as decoration. Or...boiled rice, couscous or quinoa. With molasses? Oh dear.

(at times one simply must have Frosted Flakes)

(I know myself well enough to ensure I have access to tea in the morning. Otherwise run for the hills...)

There's always something to eat. I always freak out about breakfast time too, and then I always manage to scare something up for DS.

YANBU, sometimes there's nothing like Frosted Flakes! Or Lucky Charms in my case :)

Is this when I turn into my mother?!

'...I bet the children in Haiti would LOVE to have this peanut butter stuffed celery with hard old raisins decoration...'

Or mine... "Well that's what we have! Eat it or don't!" :)

slouchingtowardswaitrose · 11/08/2010 13:01

Ah yes. That one.

Woke up to children having baked beans, and black cup of tea presented by husband!
