To think that DS...

Having a poo is really funny?

He pulls such a cute face as he strains... And his legs go all stiff because he is trying too hard!

Not so funny when I know I have to clean up after him...

(OMG he STINKS!)

Oh dear....

I kind of know what you mean but...really..

How old is your DS?

serotoninbutterfly · 10/08/2010 14:10

He is only 11 weeks... so at the stage where everything he does is AMAZING!

OP posts:
mountainmonkey · 10/08/2010 14:15

Don't worry, the novelty will eventually wear off! And if you think he's stinky now...Grin

serotoninbutterfly · 10/08/2010 14:18

Don't, my DP point blank refuses to deal with poo! DS always looks so proud of himself when he does it...

Although having dealt with not one, but two 'wee as soon as mummy takes of my nappy' incidents this morning, my patience with bodily functions is wearing pretty thin! Wink

I love the expression that DS2 gets on his face after a big poo, he just looks so 'Ah, that's better'.

I wouldn't take any shit (hahah) from DP about not doing pooey nappies.

serotoninbutterfly · 10/08/2010 14:33

DP makes more mess trying to clean him up! Babies are soooo adorable, all the time. Even when he cries he looks so cute I just want to smoooooosh him!

LOL... how clever from your DP! Break a plate once every now and then and you'll never be asked to wash the dishes again!

serotoninbutterfly · 10/08/2010 17:31

I indulge them both, I'm such a naive person!

OP posts:
Squitten · 10/08/2010 17:32

You wait until you start weaning. The novelty wears off rather quickly...!

serotoninbutterfly · 11/08/2010 10:09

I'm still excited about that, I really am naive aren't I!! I'm sure come the time I will be on here moaning about the mess...

ChippingIn · 11/08/2010 10:17

LOL

It's good to hear someone so happy :)

Although, tell DP the only way to get better is to practice - do not allow him to be a 'Dad that doesn't do poo' it might be sweet to indulge him now - it wont be in a few months and by then he'll feel entitled to 'not do poo'!!!!!!!!!

mountainmonkey · 11/08/2010 11:10

Wise words from ChippingIn. If he's no good at poo then he obviously needs more practise Wink

serotoninbutterfly · 11/08/2010 11:14

He has two DC's already with someone else... You would think he knows what he is doing!

I shall begin DP training immediately. Just wait until he gets home tonight!

I don't know, my DD is 20mo and is still funny; she glazes over and gets a wistful look like she's thinking about the existentialist condition of mankind, then the room smells like death on toast and you know.

Casmama · 11/08/2010 11:19

I think your dp knows exactly what he's doing - getting out of changing dirty nappies!

serotoninbutterfly · 11/08/2010 11:21

tethersend death on toast! Thats BRILLIANT!

Casmama I am deffo a pushover! My DP is cleverer than I give him credit for!

SB - us wise old birds will be checking in to see if you have followed through on 'Poo Training' :)

How about a photo of the lovely one on your profile??? DS - not DP!!

serotoninbutterfly · 11/08/2010 12:22

I shall get right on it now (the photo, that is - training has to wait until DP finishes work!

ChippingIn · 11/08/2010 13:03

OK - checked 3 times in the last 40 minutes.... still no pic. Will check back later on :)

serotoninbutterfly · 11/08/2010 15:15

You can hold young babies over a bowl or something when you take the nappy off. I always KNEW they would wee, so I found I might as well do something to pre-empt it!

ChippingIn · 11/08/2010 16:34

Oh :(

I wonder why not?

serotoninbutterfly · 11/08/2010 16:36

I don't know, makes me rather miserable! Especially as the pic i chose is really adorable...
