I'd love to take you up on this offer strawberry.

I'm v. good with my 3DD's, have definitely finished my family but can't get enough of newborns.

Their smallness, their smell, their bangles (fat wrists and thighs), their small wrinkled faces, their fantastic snuggling ability, their tiny toes and fingers.

Ooooooh, soooooooo gorgeous.
Yes please, I would love a (week old to play with) so long as you promise to come and get him back after a few weeks!

AngryPixie · 08/08/2010 18:59

ooh, I'd love a wee one for a morning, where are you Grin

strawberrycake · 08/08/2010 19:01

few weeks?!!!
Where shall I post him to? Grin

On pain of being done under the trade descriptions act I should warn you he he not that chubby nor cuddly at the moment. Beautiful still as I said, an a nice colour when not raging.

'scuse me ladies, I replied to strawberry first.

I don't mind if he's not chubby, first two DD's were twins and didn't do chubby wrists or thighs, I don't hold it against them though!Grin

I bet you're seriously tired though strawberry (my youngest is 2.9 so I've not quite forgotten how tiring the first 3 months are).

If only people like me could help you out, I honestly would love to.

strawberrycake · 08/08/2010 19:07

I have noone :-(

DH abroad, family on holiday, friends too. He's been ill and I'm just fucking shattered.

I'm in sheffield so probably not a lot of help if you're in east london.

ave you tried putting the TV onto whitenoise and if he likes it getting a bit of a rest?

Also, I know this sounds like it shouldn't work but does. To get a bit more energy, go for a walk. Lie DS on back so he can look at the trees (they love that honest) and walk (fastish) for half an hour. You'll feel a bit more energetic once you're finished.

Or a bath with DS and then try both cuddling up for a sleep together.

I've never wished I was in East London before!

strawberrycake · 08/08/2010 19:13

Done all of the above, it's just the witching hour now. SOrry but it's getting a bit boring. Adults please talk to me.

zapostrophe, love it!

I was singing Hush little Pest earlier.

Hush little pest don't you moan
or you'll be outside alone
and if you think you still can cry
mama'll have to say bye-bye
and if you say wah again
mama'll put you on the bloody train
and if you that train you scream and shout
mama'll leave you on a roundabout

and so on

Have you discovered 'the tiger in the tree' hold yet? Some babies love it.

strawberrycake · 08/08/2010 19:30

He likes it, I just need to put him down. Actually ok right now in swing. It's not that he's beena nightmare right now, he's being fairly good. IT's just cumilative tiredness from many nights up with an ill baby hospitals etc. I just need a proper break.

I see.
Got a good dvd in mind for tonight?

SecurusScriptor · 08/08/2010 19:34

or of course there's always Sherlock Holmes.

strawberrycake · 08/08/2010 19:40

No I plan to stare at the ceiling. I'll be flamed like mad if I share the other thing on my mind. It's a name-changer! sigh.

sapphireblue · 08/08/2010 19:56

I'll swap you my 2.5yo if you like? After the way she has behaved today I'm willing to do it on a long-term basis Grin

Is he your first? All I can say (which will be no hope at all) is that it will get better. Much, much better. And soon.

SecurusScriptor · 08/08/2010 20:08
