Before I 'create the conversation'

Every time I write a post, I proof-read it before 'sending', and every time I proof-read I realise I sound like a mealy-mouthed twat with nothing better to do than complain about the trivial annoyances of my relatively trauma-free, shabby-middle-class life.

Then I delete it while feeling a temporary wave of self-loathing.

Anyone else do that?

YABU I would never do that. - not!

Alouiseg · 07/08/2010 20:13

Yup, then if I'm in a really bad mood I post them anyway :o

OrmRenewed · 07/08/2010 20:13

Excellent way to edit your thoughts IMO. Decide if you posted about your latest whinge in AIBU, what the general response would be, and then give youself the requisite kick up the arse.

I'm sure it's changed the way I look at the world a bit.

sterrryerryoh · 07/08/2010 20:14

sometimes the act of writing it down is enough! I do it all the time

pagwatch · 07/08/2010 20:15

I don't do that. But I do spend ages crafting replies that have 'fuck off' at the ir core but are much much longer.
And then I think 'oh bollocks, can't be bothered to argue with this idiot'

I kid myself that I am taking the higher ground but actually often I think I just wimp out.

McSnail · 07/08/2010 20:16

Yeah. I use another forum ( teaching) and often delete more than post over there too.

Just as well, really.
