According to my mother it makes me look like an old lady who's give up on life too soon.

My mother drives a car. She moans when she has to drag a bag of food from the drive to the kitchen. I do not drive, have a 4 year old DD running about and I'm sick of heavy bags digging into my hands pulling off my arms splitting at random moments and needing to be gathered up again everytime I use the cash point or wait at the bus stop.

AIBU to tell her to mind her own business or am I really turning into an old lady?

I love mine, the Dc's mock me every time I use it but I don't care. Mine is an ikea one and I can squeeze loads of stuff in it, plus hang chairs and umbrellas off it if we are going for a picnie etc.

my mom calls it a "heel ferrari". hers is brown faux leather.

I would use one if I did not do the shopping online.

I've had several wheelie trolley type things for work in the past with lugging the usual amount of stuff teachers lug back and forward to school (I usually break them bumping them up and down steps in the end). Teachers are a funny bunch though - when someone brought one in with a rain cover and side pockets we all had trolley envy and they got sent back to Costco to buy another 4-5 of them for different people!

Brought my step-father a wheelie trolley picnic basket thing a few years ago for Christmas (they take picnics to the cricket most weekends in the summer and stuff their faces silly) and it was his favourite present - he sat and hugged it most of the day!

In Germany they are called Hackenporsche which translates into Heel Porsche.

You Mum must be even faster and posher then.

LOL at not more than 12 bottles of wine.

I know, mmelindt. my mom is in germany. I think she upped it to ferrari as her forst one was bright red.

I brought one when I was 25. It was a fake burberry print from the little hardware shop round the corner and I thought it was the best thing ever. YANBU.
