To put my baby to bed for the morning

He's been monstering around half the night and despite the lovely smiles this morning I'm knackered. Dummy, white noise, cot, dark...pretending it's still night for as long as I can! Just did a 'night feed'. Mumsnet, coffee and a childless morning.

Poor you, SC, you must be shattered. Enjoy the coffee and MN and, remember, this too will passSmile.

YANBU. Very wise.

I feel slightly mean as he's been awake! Not in distress or anything, talking and playing with his blanket. Just dropped off again I think. Trying not to look as if he sees me it'll be playtime when those big baby eyes lock on to me. Happy on his own but if he spots mummy then it's mummy he must have!

Bloody fucking pampers I HATE you. He's wet through, the one bloody thing that disturbs him. THREE times tonight. A pox on you pampers people!!!!!

asda nappies all the way, they were a complete lifesaver for my DSD :). i HATE pampers!!!

Morloth · 07/08/2010 10:56

I am pretty sure DS2 has been awake since 5am, but I am NOT starting the day then so I went back to sleep until he yelled at around 7:30ish.

Pampers suck, and they smell weird. Nature baby are the only ones that don't leak on DS2 I find, DS1 was better in huggies.

Gay40 · 07/08/2010 10:57

God no. Snatch a bit of quiet time when you can. Your baby will be fine, and you'll be better for it.

I thought pampers worked, but not now he can wee again! Nothing to them. Boots worked before, so did sainsburys. Will try them again, plus reuseables some of the time, problem is they're a faff when out and about and I am everyday plus seemed to leak if he was on his side, and he's a side sleeper.
