some awful things happening to children

there seem to be a very sad news event every week. often apparently linked to battles over broken relationships..do you ever feel like stopping watching the news.

No- I feel like talking some sense into the parents! When my parents split up they had no idea how their behaviour affected my brother and I (still don't), it is hard when a relationship comes to an end but children should never be made to feel responsible/ take sides or be used as ammunition.

I think the common thread in a lot of these stories is some kind of mental breakdown. Hundreds of people's relationships come to an end but thankfully few children are actually harmed as a result. We don't hear about the 99.9%... just the 0.1% of tragedies. Keep watching the news but try to keep it in proportion.
