Argh!

I'm so angry with him rite now and generally since our little boy was born cos he just has no clue how to watch him properly but if i ever have a go at him its 'oh shes off again...' and switches off.

Is this just a general 'men' thing??

Thismorning is a prime example, hes been taking over morning duties of late due to me being 7 month pregnant so thismorning he takes DS1 downstairs and then i can hear him saying 'So r u gonna stay downstairs and be a good boy while Daddy has a shower?' now forgive me if im being unreasonable but surely im not the only one here thinking you dont leave a 2.5 yr old downstairs - on his own - while u go upstairs to have a shower??

Whats everyones opinion on this one - Am i being unreasonable to have a go at OH??

LilRedWG · 06/08/2010 10:10

Oh well, I tried.

veyron · 06/08/2010 10:18

I was so worried I was going to be bored on my ML (first day today) Obviously I have no reason to be.

Oblomov · 06/08/2010 10:18

Oh and I'm not a board housewife. yesterday I posted in my lunchhour. I was at work. Reviewing our half year accounts. 2 billion turnover, 200 million pre tax profit. etc etc. i wasn't bored. am now at home enjoying my boys. am not bored.

Oh shite am at work when I should be at home housewifing. Knew there was something I had forgotten on the tube this morning...

I would like to point out to everyone who may have been on the working at home debate thread that I do as much MNing in the office as at home thus proving my efficiency at home. Sort of. Or my procrastination in the office.

anyway OP - where are you emigrating too - am genuinely interested.

Morloth · 06/08/2010 10:21

I'm bored, I am feeding the baby again and watching the cleaning lady clean the windows.

omnishambles · 06/08/2010 10:22

oh x-posts - thanks. How amazing - are you going Vancouver side or French-speaking - Vancouver is harder isnt it or have they abandoned that sending you to certain bits policy?

Oblomov · 06/08/2010 10:25

canada. nice. are you sure you want to go. do you really love him, deep down. do you think he would want to take you if he knew how you really felt about him. are you sure you love him enough to emigrate ? are you sure your realtionship is strong enough ?

nasdaq · 06/08/2010 10:25

Is he meant to shower with the 2 year old?

Do you not trust the father of your child ?

Oblomov · 06/08/2010 10:31

both my boys 6.5 and 1.9 both love going in the shower with daddy. we have a glass cubicle. it is so incredibly sweet. makes my heart melt. i just sit and watch. towels at the ready.

or i leave dh to do it. funnily enough he is more than capable of doing it all by himself.

i could go away for a month and come back and the place would be spotless, repairs done and i would walk in on 3 happy boys.

no all men are twonks. dh is much better at it all than i am !!

OrmRenewed · 06/08/2010 10:42

Morning.

Shall we change the subject now? Isn't it a lovely day?

SixtyFootDoll · 06/08/2010 10:43

I am going to invent a waterproof sling for parents and babies to shower together!

Thanks for the idea Yummy, I'm gonna be rich!
Will you come on Dragons Den with me to demonstrate?

weegiemum · 06/08/2010 10:44

Bored housewife my arse.

I am an exam board employee several months a year, a literacy tutor, have 3 children and am studying for a Master's degree.

I don't have time to be bored.

OrmRenewed · 06/08/2010 10:45

Well I am quite bored and I'm not a housewife.

BonniePrinceBilly · 06/08/2010 10:52

Sorry, Sixty its been done!

YellowDaffodil · 06/08/2010 10:52

Bored and not a housewife here too. PILs have run off with DD and DH is at work. This is far more fun than doing the garden which is why I have taken the day off.

At the risk off kicking this all off again. OP has your DS ever been hurt when your OH is looking after him other than the van incident? I have asked three time now and am genuinely interested in the answer.

Canada is beautiful - I am officially jealous of you.

BonniePrinceBilly · 06/08/2010 10:54

ps, OP only thinks they're emigrating together. I reckon he's plotting to run away! Grin

SixtyFootDoll · 06/08/2010 10:57

Buggeration, there go my millions!

Oblomov · 06/08/2010 11:02

Boonie. Lets hope he is.
maybe we will get a thread from Op soon. Oh has disappeared to Canada with my 2 children. i thought we were all going together, but unbeknown to me he flew the day before our supposed flights.

YummyMummy1208 · 06/08/2010 11:04

FYI my OH loves me dearly, he has already said he wouldnt go without me and our beautiful children. Wink

Like i originally said, i wanted a moan yesterday - im 7months pregnant and get hormonal outbursts every so often (i think maybe due to having a girl as i was never like this with DS1) and so now moan is over i have nothing bad to say about OH, he is a lovely partner, just hasnt adapted as quickly as me to parenting - as he fully admits.

so...whats the next topic of conversation then??
