To want to tell a colleague to stop chatting up the IT guy

And get on with the very simple task that has, so far, taken her 5 hours to do?

It should have taken her around an hour, maximum. It's a very simple job. She's been shown how to do it loads of times.

WHY the eff has it taken her 5 hours?! And WHY is she chatting up the IT guy when she should be getting on with the job?

And WHY am I being such a cow? (Chocolate withdrawal I suspect)

But really, 5 hours to check 14 questions have been answered????

why, what is your problem ?

do you fancy him yourself ?

Is she your colleague or your junior?

If she's 'under' you then yes, you should tell her to 'get on with it and keep the flirting to a minimum'...

If she's an equal colleague then it's not really anything to do with you is it? Unless she's holding you up from getting on with something....

Still frustrating though - maybe get her to go and buy you both some chocolate

ChippingIn · 04/08/2010 15:08

You have long lunch breaks where you work

Morloth · 04/08/2010 15:11

IT guys are pretty hot these days.

AnyFucker · 04/08/2010 15:12

wellll, I fancy the pants off Moss from "The IT Crowd" so there is something in that...

Iklboo · 04/08/2010 15:13

AnyF - er, definitely not
Chipping - newish to section, and, yes she's holding me up - which is why I'm on MN cos I've got nowt to do until she finished

IT guys are hot. nearly as good as scientists.

nickelbabe · 04/08/2010 15:23

if she's allowing you time to MN, then surely you can't complain!

i hate people like that - if you are doing your job, but she's not, it's not fair on everyone else in your office.

Morloth · 04/08/2010 15:24

Definitely Roy for me AnyFucker or possibly Richmond...

ChippingIn · 04/08/2010 15:28

She's been holding you up since3 1.30

Me thinks you shouldn't take the piss being on MN at work for 2 hours and then have the audacity to complain about someone eyeing up the IT guy

AnyFucker · 04/08/2010 15:29

oh yes, Morloth, Roy too

both at the same time, whatver

Tiredmumno1 · 04/08/2010 15:33

nickelbabe have ya been on chat. there was a thread about posters that hadnt been seen for a while and you were on it

sorry to hi jack

lazarusb · 04/08/2010 19:23

I reckon it's Moss

Doigthebountyeater · 04/08/2010 19:27

as long as it's not my DH...

InWithTheITCrowd · 04/08/2010 23:24

I'm an ITGirl - I wish I was hot!

phatcat · 04/08/2010 23:53

lol - a combo of Moss & Roy = my ideal man.

nickelbabe · 09/08/2010 13:42

tiredmummo - omg! was I? Shock

I've been trying not to MN as much - I should be working! Grin that's the problem wiuth being self-employed that big pile of books that needs to be put on display isn't as intriguing as whether someone's being unreasonable!!!
I'll go and have a look....
