Doesn't happen often, but it's now 14.20pm and they're still there.

I have been to work this morning if that's any defence, but I'm now thinking of going for a nap instead of doing them.

What a bad example I'm setting for my little munchkin.

I've only just done mine

chiefcook · 03/08/2010 14:23

mine are still there, just going to do them!

bentneckwine1 · 03/08/2010 14:24

Me Too!! Doesn't often happen here either and my heart sank when I walked into the kitchen this morning!!

I am hoping that anybody who comes to the door just now will think that they are lunch dishes that I have just finished with!!

BitOfFun · 03/08/2010 14:38

I really don't worry about stuff like that. If you need a sleep, have one. I haven't done mine either- but as long as I do them before I make tonight's meal, I can't see why it matters a whit.

BootyMum · 03/08/2010 16:22

The dishes can wait! Goodness, there will always be dishes to do, it's a never ending cycle. So have a nap and leave this lot to do when you do the dinner dishes. I promise you that on your deathbed you will perhaps regret many things but never that you left dirty dishes in the sink on occasion - only caveat to this is if you caused your own illness due to disease caught from festering dishes. But I am sure this is not the case here

dexifehatz · 03/08/2010 18:13

I now have last nights tea stuff, this mornings breakfast dishes, dinnertimes load and mugs various delicately balancing in my sink...because i am fed up with doing it.In the time it takes my husband to moan and groan about having nothing clean to eat off and then extracting ONE PLATE and washing that,he could have done the whole f*ing bowl!!!washing up fairy on holiday.

Squitten · 03/08/2010 18:17

Be glad you only have last night's! My kitchen has not recovered from a busy weekend of entertaining and is COVERED in dishes.

And we don't have a dishwasher... goes off to drown self in washing-up liquid

Squitten · 03/08/2010 18:18

SixtyFootDoll · 03/08/2010 18:18
