to think that the people who designed those child safety latches have never tried to fit them?

aaargh! we have big drawers full of heavy (and breakable) crockery so have finally conceded that the bottom ones (which are on runners, so could easily knock DD over, although she knows to move back when they open) need safety latches. OMFG what a pain! the screws are tiny and impossible to hold in position, the angles are a nightmare and then the screwheads are too soft and you can't get them home...swearing isn't in it...

YAsoNBU.

DH's area of expertise rather than mine, thankfully, but he always have to extensively modify the catches to get them to even fix on our kitchen drawers.

We don't have any on drawers at the moment, come to think of it, as it broke.
