To wonder if this was an over reaction by my back that may need investigating?

Might be posting in the wrong place but hopefully someone can give a bit of advice!
I hurt my back Thursday- twisted funny whilst carrying very heavy bag (books). Didn't hurt too much but a few hours later was sat at table eating dinner when my right arm went into a huge spasm and my wrist was flipping around from side to side.
Then I got up walked a few steps and fainted.
Came round again after 20 mins still in a bit of pain now.

I've got a high pain threshold but it's the fainting that shocked me - the only time I've fainted through pain is when I snapped my thighbone!

What do youthink?
Is t worth going to doctors/anyone had similar?

I think it's always worth seeing your gp over things that concern you.

Definitely get this checked out, even if only for your own piece of mind.

You fainted for 20 minutes. Why would you not get this checked out?

Lulumaam · 01/08/2010 21:10

why would you not go to the docs if you passed out for 20 minutes???

what would you advise if this was a friend or your child or partner?

go to the doctors today!

Thanks all- I think I will get an appointment tomorrow, I'm very wary of going to hospital etc- my mums an ex a+e nurse so I'm forever hearing about people who go in with a small blister/broken finger nail etc!
She's on holiday so I haven't been able to get in touch, much appreciated anyway-glad I'm not being a hypochondriac!

Maybe phone NHS Direct? I believe it is staffed by nurses. Seriously, I wouldn't wait.
