to wonder how you can lose a van - aka why is my DH such a twat?

He just phoned me, thinking his van had been stolen. That would have been the icing on a really stressful and irritating day. Turns out he forgot which street he parked it in

He also left the keys in the outside of the door for several hours once.

Now I know I can be a dingbat sometimes but I rarely pull such stunts of sheer idiocy. Does anyone else have such a dingbat for a DH?

No. But my neighbour came round a few weeks ago asking had we seen anything because her car had been stolen. We sympathised, made her a cuppa and chatted about it. Went over it and all of a sudden she put her head in her hands. We thought she was crying and wondered what to do. Then we realised she was laughing. She'd just remembered that she'd left it at the train station.

That's hilarious

I thought it was impossible that anyone would have stolen it as we both always have such old heaps as vehicles nobody would bother. Once someone nicked my bike and abandoned it halfway up the road

mate of mine did the train station trick - went into town after parking at the station, then walked and was utterly bereft to find his van had been 'stolen'. Reported it, and then the follwoing day saw his 'stolen' van in the station car park. Gonk.

Same man who called the gas engineers as his boiler had stopped working........he has inadvertently switched it off, then came to it when there was no hot water and got onto gas people.

They put it down to "user error".....
