FetchezLaVache · 28/07/2010 13:32

YANBU to regret it, YWBVVU not to go. Have you thought about what could happen if you need to bisect any dried fruit???

Colliecross · 28/07/2010 13:34

I know fetchez
Will anyone swop for a Pampered Chef Apple Melter as I have several in different colours?

ReasonableDoubt · 28/07/2010 13:39

Now you will never own a grapefruit knife, a 'salad and berry' spinner or a beaded cheese bistro set. How does that make you feel?

ChippingIn · 28/07/2010 13:40

Collie - did you not get your parcel in the mail????

Colliecross · 28/07/2010 13:44

No Chipping I didn't. What if no one ever asks me again and I never get any Watercress Scales in the Kanchenjunga Blue colourway?

ChippingIn · 28/07/2010 13:55

OMG - that would be a complete nightmare!!

I am waiting for the next party, I really, really want a smokeypink sesame seed counter and I don't want to order it on line as I would miss on a great party...

LimaCharlie · 28/07/2010 13:57

You see now you'll have to go to Ikea to purchase an apple slicer and corer at a tenth of the price, but actually you will then spend a fortune on scented tea lights and other crap so not going to the party will cost you more

Colliecross · 28/07/2010 14:04

chippingin I could sell on my Sesame Seed Counter in Smokey Pink, or do you have anything for swopsies?
lima there is no ikea in deepest Devon

You're all being mean... my best slotted spoon was from PC and the lady that sold it to me still emails me at least once a month... how friendly is that?.

shockers · 28/07/2010 14:08

I should add that the party was 2 years ago!

ChippingIn · 28/07/2010 14:16

LimaCharlie - sod you!! Now I have an urge to go to Ikea . However, for today I am saved by it being too far away to go in an afternoon.... ... it is open till 10pm....

Collie After everything I sent you from the party the other night - you want more from me before giving me your 'no-longer-wanted Smokey Pink Sesame Seed Counter??'

Shockers - I know, PC ladies are just so nice

Colliecross · 28/07/2010 14:19

What colour is this spoon? Not enough detail shockers.

shockers · 28/07/2010 14:34

If I said soft pistachio would you believe me?

It was black... I feel like such a bad hosewife.

chippingin back away from the car... you know you will only have to find space for the tin with cheese grater top, tea lights, assorted plants and photo frames, if you do.

shockers · 28/07/2010 14:35

Hosewife... ooer

LimaCharlie · 28/07/2010 15:11

chipping - smaland should be open in the hols right?

ChippingIn · 28/07/2010 15:32

Soft pistachio....mmmmmmmmmmmmm wait BLACK? , BLACK ???? - straight to housewife sin bin!

Smaland - is that the kids area in Ikea? If it is, there's no way I'd leave the kids there... I'd sooner have them annoying helping me .......

shockers · 28/07/2010 15:56

It was great yesterday... loads of toddlers with scouse-ish accents ((Warrington store) having screaming tantrums. DD was both amused and fascinated.

Our particular fave was a chubby girl of about 7 with an angry red face that was being particularly vile to her mother, who was turned out like a WAG.

You can accessorise all you like but if you haven't taught the chilblains any manners....

ChippingIn · 28/07/2010 17:11

Tempting... 200 miles to go to Ikea to hear little scousies

You see the whole world on a single trip to Ikea

ChippingIn · 28/07/2010 17:12

So, do you think that Ikea stores will be busier or quieter in the school holidays??

Mind you, sounds hellish in the Warrington one yesterday!!

shockers · 28/07/2010 22:55

Busier... still traumatised now... may have to partake of a small snifter to get over it

shockers · 28/07/2010 23:01

Oh and DD got me back for being smug this afternoon with a very credible angry and red faced performance of her own... shouldn't have been so quick to judge

ChippingIn · 28/07/2010 23:24

Hmmm - not sure I can wait 6 weeks for a visit though

PMSL - little buggers just know don't they!!!
