To wonder what happened in the missing almost 2 minutes of this footage?

Footage jumps from 16:48 to 16:50 and keeper goes from on his feet to on the floor with the elephant over him.

I can't help wondering why there is missing footage and speculating that whatever happened during those missing couple of minutes might possibly explain what happened. (keeper perhaps lashed out at animal?)

Or am I reading too much into it and really should just take myself off to bed?

Very odd. But, you probably know this, I WOULD think that, having seen and heard of too much animal abuse.

Onr thing that struck me too... the man was described as the elephant's keeper "and trainer".

It might depend on how he trained, might it not?

The footage jumps around alot, seems to go from 16.48 to 16.50 then back to 16.48.

I wonder if ITN had edited it for the story?

Either way, poor elephant! (and poor man! - wonder why his family blocked the release? Conspiracy theory grows!)
