Every thread I open seems to be whinging about something so totally insignficant that it boggles the mind. I can't give examples as I don't want to quote individuals. I'm not one of the 'be grateful that's all you've got to worry about, brigade' but really, I don't know how some people go about their everyday lives when inconsequential things piss them off so much. I understand people coming on here for a whinge but I've seen threads from people who are really angry about things, really having a go at family members etc when the 'crime' is so tiny as to be non existent.

AIBU to think that people really need to get a grip and stop whining? Or have I just got too old and grumpy for MN? (could well be the case)

(Am prepared for a flaming, would be a darn sight more interesting!)

My keyboard getting all opinionated again...a thousand curses upon it.

Could've been me, too. Though I don't feel anybody was snitty to her. She judged her contributions well, didn't she? Proved the point and derided it, all in one go

Broderie - a therapist I used to see told me that, each week, his other client for the afternoon was a rich woman in crisis because her souffles wouldn't rise!

I think he was trying to illustrate that everybody's problems are important to them ... but it did make me wonder whether he was any good at getting to the real issue

I mean, for £60 an hour, she could have got a chef in to separate her eggs correctly.

bows graciously although not entirely sure what tortoise is talking about

I meant that this thread is the perfect example of what it's complaining about!

"Every thread I open seems to be whinging about something so totally insignificant that it boggles the mind."

Ha! That is a perfect, perfect first line for a thread complaining about insignificant threds.

People are fighting on my thread, and it's not my fault! How good is that!
