I know its always a hassle I often think stop looking at the computer and go and look out the back if theres one there you its in stock!!!!

Or when I worked in a shop I would look stock up on computer then go to look out the back if it says we had one. If I couldn't find it I wouold take the customers number and look again and call if found or call when we got one delivered.

YANBU. They are useless.

YANBU. Same problem twice in last 3 months with reserving stock online or phone and it not being there when going to get it.

They should take a leaf out of Argos' book, much better system which works.

we recently had to go to 2 different stores to collect our order which we thought was reserved at the firsr store only to get there and be told they didnot have enough of what we wnated - they were useless at advising us what to do, could not look up the other store online for us, we had to take half what we wanted in the hopes that when we got home and tried to look online at other nearby store they would have what we wanted, otherwise would be returning first half of the order to first store - utterly ridiculous

agree argos is better, they can tell you to the minute whether something is in stock and how many
