OK, so I fell in love many years ago watching Top Gun, I then subsequently worked my way throught the armed forces, ahem, until I finally settled on and married a pilot.

My crush waned, my marriage has lasted, however watching Tom last night on Top Gear I still think I have a crush.....

Anyone with me or should I go and sit on the naughty step....?

I did fancy him in Top Gun (young and naive). Since then, he has become more and more of a twat imho but I did think he came across really well on Top Gear.

If you're heterosexual and lusting after Tom Cruise, either get the minor film "Sleep With Me" out on DVD, or save the effort (it's not really very good) and admire Quentin Tarantino's cameo as a film buff giving his views on Top Gun just from the quote. You can imagine Quentin's delivery: Woody Allen on Speed.

My fave film as a teenager was Top Gun and maybe I went on a subconcious mission but my now DH looks like tiny tom (only 6 foot tall). So much so that we had people taking photos in HK when we visited. I've no idea who they thought I was as sadly, I'm no Katie Holmes.
For his birthday in August I have bought him a Top Gun "Maverick" T shirt.
