Was walking through town market today and a lady in her fiftiees was walking behind me and my two girls, speaking loudly about how much she disliked foreigners, there are foreigners everywhere, polish, chinese etc.
She then turns to me and my girls (two very blonde, blue eyed girls) and says" ooh, aren't they lovely" to which I replied, "yes, and they are foreigners." This really threw her and she said "really, but they are lovely". As if she couldnt believe they could be lovely and foreigners. Now, of course they are both british and swedish, but I thought it so rude to speak out loud like that about people that I couldn't help myself.
