dc driving me potty. they keep fighting, making unreasonable demands. refusing to do anything i suggest. etc etc etc. i cant even park them in front of the telly as dd has already watche three hours eof telly this morning and ds1 is grounded so not allowed to.

its raining. we are meant to be having a do nothing day. the library is shut. cant kick ds1 out of house to go there, and no one else around whose house i can suggest he go to as they all at work.

If you find somewhere to hide can you give me a shout please.

baking, lego, go for a walk in the rain to get them out the house, making dens out of sofas and sheets...

Put dc in different rooms with selection of toys or books so they can't argue?

Sorry, misread your last line, thought you were after suggestions!

Most definitely join us all hiding on mumsnet

Colliecross · 26/07/2010 12:47

Go out in the rain, they won't dissolve.
Ten mile hike cures all sorts of ills and they will be glad to eat their supper and go to bed.
Then you put your feet up with a nice glass of wine.

I think get wellies on & go for a walk to get rid of some energy.

Then board games/puzzles?

Let them choose one thing that you all have to do for 1/2hr/hr?

ladysybil · 26/07/2010 12:51

but i dont want to go out of house i want to stay in and do absolutely nothing at all.
okie. i shall get up and dressed, and go try this new geocashing thing. they arent that young either.

Or you can hide round here

ladysybil · 26/07/2010 15:42

we went out, and found our first ever geocache. was great fun, good walk. fired the kids up etc. they now want to do another one. but the battery on iphone died, so we had to come back home and charge it again.
trouble is, they are still fighting.
