DS1 popped his out at 4.5 m, DS2 at 9 m. I think most babies I have known seem to have started by around 12 m but I don't know if you should worry or not. Has the doctor expressed an opinion?

Longtalljosie · 25/07/2010 05:37

Do you know when you did? Most of the mums with late teething babies that I know, were also late teethers themselves...

moaningminniewhingesagain · 25/07/2010 05:51

DD around 9m, DS was 13m. Apparently DH was late to get teeth too, at least MIL has told me about a million times...

Jojay · 25/07/2010 07:08

Ds1 - 7 months, DS2 13 months.

They'll come when they're ready. Don't worry, really.

But don't feel you have to feed him mush for ever either - DS2 used to get throgh the most amazing things with no teeth. They cope really well as their gums are very hard.

Firawla · 25/07/2010 07:49

ds1 i think was about 7 months i cant remember exactly, ds2 just coming out now and he is 7 months, they are almost out
14 months is late but i have heard of it some of my friends dc were like that

Um about 9 months I think. What has this got to do with being unreasonable though?

lazarusb · 25/07/2010 12:00

My boys were about 10 months old, but my dd was 18 months- I had taken her to the dentists to check her gums and considered having dentures made by then! She was also bald until she was 3. It never stopped her eating though and she now has beautiful teeth and thick, shiny hair

CuppaTeaJanice · 25/07/2010 12:02

11 months.

The dentist said late teething is a good thing though.

VelmaKelly · 25/07/2010 12:03

DD2 got her first tooth at 16months. Is now nearly 20 months and has a grand total of 5 teeth - 2 up, 2 down and 1 molar that is completely out of normal order!!

Why is this thread in AIBU?

CrystalQueen · 25/07/2010 12:05

DD was about 15 months, and got her molars first! Didn't stop her eating though.

mumof2children · 25/07/2010 12:07

because i am thinking if iabu, by not taking her the dentist, the hv keep telling me to take her to get checked out

lazarusb · 25/07/2010 16:25

She is now 10 and has still only lost 8 teeth! Mum of 2, if you are worried by all means get her checked but if not, don't worry. Are her smooth or bumpy? Does she manage to eat?

HecateQueenOfWitches · 25/07/2010 18:00

ds1 was born teething it seemed. He cut his first tooth on my bloody nipples at only a few weeks old!

I also have a picture of a 3month old ds2, grinning and showing 2 tiny white teeth.

It varies so much I think. Can't remember exactly, but my neice was possibly a year or more before she had any. Although I may be wrong, it was a long time ago! I just remember her cute little gummy smile

Plopsie · 25/07/2010 23:11

13m.

cestlavielife · 25/07/2010 23:22

anything up to 18 m is fine - but take her to dentist if you worried.

mumof2children · 25/07/2010 23:23

she eat normal food, as i did blw

SE13Mummy · 25/07/2010 23:31

DD1 - 15 weeks
DD2 - 20 weeks

Teeth are my DDs' forte - neither has been quick to move and DD2 (14 months) has only just learned how to crawl.

deburca · 26/07/2010 20:19

would you believe that mine was born with a tooth! i think they all start at different times, i know babies who have had their first tooth at 8 months and other at 18

Deb

dinkystinky · 26/07/2010 20:22

DS1 - 13 months (he teethed at a glacial rate) - they appeared rather rapidly after that though

DS2 - 6 months

CoteDAzur · 26/07/2010 20:22

DD - 9 months
DS - 10.5 months
