Thread earlier where a poster was obviously dealing with a pretty sick child here.

She posted for advice, as we all do. It didn't take long for the 'troll hunters' to come and start making accusations.

People deal with traumatic experiences differently. She states she was alone with a possibly fitting child who was fast becoming very unwell. I don't understand where the name calling comes from.

Does it give people a feeling of power? AIBU?

Loads of helpful comments and a couple of very valid questions about why was she still posting when DD was so obviously unwell.

Tame for mumsnet imho

Ok, I have just read the thread the OP linked to.

I agree, no need for the troll hunting on that thread. Although it was only a couple of comments, everyone else offered her as much help as they could.

Tbh I thought the comments on the link were going to be far worse than they actually are - but the two who did question why the OP was posting on MN had it pointed out to them very quickly that OP could have been on an iphone/laptop next to the child, and that she was very scared.

I don't think it gives them a feeling of power, they just haven't thought of all possible options - in all honesty, I wondered why the OP was posting after she'd called the ambulance, the internet is the last place I'd be if I'd had to call 999 for DD - laptop or no laptop - but I fully understand and support her decision to come on and ask for advice before she'd phoned.

The things is the thread was very familiar, incredibly similar to the first thread cryingveryquietly posted and she went onto be a prolific troll.

This may just be an unfortunate coincedence but people are still wary
