We are getting married in a few weeks and would it be chavy to stop the service to update our FB status, afterall this is a news as it happens world and I am a fast living up to date kind of guy

OldLadyKnowsNothing · 23/07/2010 20:34

ROFL! Why not tweet it too?

Flisspaps · 23/07/2010 20:37

Jason, as it's you, YANBU .

Could you request that your guests record proceedings on phones and upload them to FB and YouTube during the service as well?

HouseofCrazy · 23/07/2010 20:42

What FLiss said!! PMSL!

thefinerthingsinlife · 23/07/2010 20:44

Why am I not suprised this is you

SherbetDibDab · 23/07/2010 20:45

Love it.

I think it would be rather romantic to stop the service and bring out matching i-phones. I'm sure in 20 years time it will be considered a traditional part of any wedding.

seeker · 23/07/2010 20:46

Good idea - then you'll be able to tweet, or maybe even blog, your experiences of a busy casualty department as a team of doctors attempt to remove a four inch ivory satin stiletto heel from your groin!

coventgarden · 23/07/2010 20:47

nhyyhsn nmk

Mowgli1970 · 23/07/2010 21:43

Do it, but first request that all the congregation "like" your status.

Kaloki · 23/07/2010 22:06

I know someone who changed her status on FB on the way from ceremony to reception.

This was at a wedding where the dress code seemed to be hoodies and tracksuit bottoms though (how overdressed did I feel!?!)

Monty100 · 23/07/2010 22:11

Lower the tone if you want. It's your day after all.

stainesmassif · 23/07/2010 22:14

we went to a wedding last weekend and dh came up with a new 'invention' - a wedding service app. maybe you'd be interested jason?

suwoo · 23/07/2010 22:18

Has already been done. I remember seeing it on youtube, but am too tired pissed to search.

If it was me, yeah I so would. I am avid facebooker though.

Have a great day.

ArseHolio · 23/07/2010 22:24

Monty100 · 23/07/2010 22:34

Quality · 23/07/2010 22:38

Yes. YABU. anyone who gives a shit cares will be at the wedding

ArseHolio · 23/07/2010 22:41

Well it was the reception actually not the wedding proper.

Alambil · 23/07/2010 22:43

my sister will do this at some point, maybe not during the church bit, but not long after I rekon... if my mum finds out, she's gonna go ape!

oopsandbabycoconuts · 23/07/2010 22:45

Jason, I was wondering where you were, you have been a bit quiet this week

SirBoobAlot · 23/07/2010 22:46

Do it! Am make sure you then come on here to tell us you've done it...

Maybe even get the vicar / register to pose for a picture with you as proof?

valiumSingleton · 23/07/2010 22:46

why not?! it won't take long. upload a photo while you're at it.

Wordsonascreen · 23/07/2010 22:47

Won't all your friends (ie facebook buds) be at your wedding.. thus negating the update quandry?

WillowM2B · 23/07/2010 22:47

Make it more interesting and change it to "single" or "its complicated".
