to be proud of myself for disconnecting the washing machine

I disconnected the washing machine on my own this afternoon rather than pay a plumber. Should I be very, very proud of myself or just a teensy bit, or not at all because that's like being proud of yourself for unplugging the hairdryer or disconnecting the garden hose?

Um, I #was# proud of myself for a bit until I mentioned it to an ex dear friend of mine who burst my bubble.

FGS I could be putting up shelves next!!!

YANBU. I would be very proud of myself for that too!

YANB at all U! I'm very impressed. If I tried similar my kitchen would probably be under 3 feet of water by now.

She didn't actually say that her kitchen WASNT under water.... lololol

Well done, goldenlife.

I disconnected mine, and undid the hard wiring, and then plumbed and hard wired the new one in yesterday to avoid paying a plumber and electrician. I was feeling VVV proud of myself, and the 2 clean wash loads I have done since were a pleasure to unload!

you go girl!

SkiHorseWonAWean · 23/07/2010 21:11

Um seriously?

I'm afraid I'm in the camp that says you've just unplugged a big kettle!

CaptainKirksNipples · 23/07/2010 21:25

If that is the first time you have done it then it is an achievement!

I remember when I thought my washing machine was broken and wouldn't drain, I checked the waste pipe, cleaned out something that was stuck there and it fixed it, I was very proud of myself. I can do anything now except drilling holes in tiles oops!
