To think that Walford police are rubbish?

It's been weeks since they fished poor Denise - AKA the whore of Babylon - out of the canal but they still haven't cottoned on to the fact that she was strangled. AIBU to think that they need to investigate further?

YANBU. Am I remembering wrong or did they also conclude that Trina had died from a simple drugs overdose? Rather than the massive gaping wound in her neck, as a result of the rake?

YANBU. Surely there should have been a postmortem which would have concluded that she was strangled and already dead when she entered the canal......maybe I've just watched too much Silent Witness though.....

YANBU - If I know it's not Denise in the canal then you'd think it would be fairly obvious to them.

is it not Eccentrica? You know I did wonder.........didn't see the strangling etc etc, but then I noticed the body was wearing the same colour nail varnish as Denise when she was pulled out of the water, so I just assumed..........

no its not her I don't think for the following reasons:

  1. The body pulled from the water WASN'T wearing nail varnish which denise was.

  2. body didn't have rings Denise did.

  3. Arm was bare and Denise wore long sleeves.

  4. Lucas identified the body alone.

  5. there no evidence of strangling.

  6. One tv mag showed piccys of body being pulled out but programme just showed arm - are they saving this for flashback scenes?

Me thinks its the prostitiute but unsure where Denise is I can't work that one out.

This is only my theory.......

I reckon it's one of Lucas's other victims. We never saw the bits about him bumping off 'fallen women' because of some real news story at the time. We only saw him picking up some woman not what was supposed to happen next.

Mytheory is he's been bumping off working girls in some misguided religeous zeal type murderous spree and the wman in the canal is one of those.

I also think he's got Denise locked up in some seedy bedsit type place and is trying to 'save' her.

She's going to escape and it'll all come out (probably at christmas - although that's quite some time away).

Patrick is suspicious.

I think she escaped somehow. I can't believe her friends believe she did it. I thought the police would've established the victim didn't drown because I imagine if it is one of Lucas's other victims he would have strangled them too! Poor Libby!

I recon it's not her - they would have noted the body was strangled, and Lucas viewed alone. It's so obvious.

I'm going with Eccentrica.

I can't see that Denise would have run off leaving Libby and Chelsea with Lucas. So she must be held captive somewhere.

I wouldn't put too much emphasis on the sleeves/no sleeves rings/no rings thing... probably just EE crap continuity...

It doesn't really mnake sense that Lucas would not kill her, but identify someone else as her... why? Simpler to kill her - specially a we saw him start to do just that - then say she was the one that murdered Owen... Then he gets away with it and it's nice and simple. Instead of him having to deal with a locked up hostage who will dob him in.

hai1988 you've lost me the pic 7 shows her wearing pink nail varnish which she was but I'm pretty sure the 'arm' did not have nail varnish.

the pap have pictured Denise being pulled from water but we only saw an arm - I'm just wondering why!!!

I fear for both Patrick and Denise's sister (Kim?).

Maybe the body wasn't Denise and she's being kept in that flat full of cream crackers where Ian Beale's not son was squatting.
