Hubby forgot our anniversary :(

Hubby forgot it was our anniversary (7yr).I had to (not so gently) remind him when he began talking about a lads night out! He then booked dinner at a lovely restaurant (v posh 5)but I was so cross told him to cancel. We've agreed now to go to another restaurant (not posh!).Would prefer to keep 5 for a very special occasion and not when i'm getting over this. :-( He can't understand why I was so angry over it!! AIBU to be angry over it? I think I'm not!!

Dolanette seems to be avoiding the question of 'what did you do for your husband..?' Perhaps anniversaries are one sided in their household..

I gave him a present and a card. I got same back and we also went for dinner. Thats it! I think marriage is full of ups and downs and the whole pre-dinner experience was probably one of the down moments. Thanks to all those who gave advice and support.

yes i would be upset if dh forgot our anniversary (so far he hasnt), but if he did i would like to think he would try to appoligize like your dh did and book a nice resturant

but agree with the poster who said that wa are joint things, so why cant you say to him a week or 2 before, shall we go out for dinner for our wa/shall i book a table for next week etc?

some years i say , i have booked a table for next week, other years dh says where would i like to go etc

I forgot it was our 7yr anniversary today until dh mentioned it.

My gift to him is a vasectomy! Mw mentioned that the GP will want to discuss contraception at the 6wk check.
