you could go chinese/japanese and marinade salmon in Teriyaki sauce, grill, and serve with broccoli stir fried and dressed with sesame oil and sesame seeds.

I'm on a roll now, and bloody starving!

better wait 'til I've done the big shop tomorrow Hab's. Nowt in at the mo. Am eating peanut butter smeared (there's that word again!) on celery.

Habbibu · 21/07/2010 21:49

That's quite nice too. I really liek peanut butter and green olives together...

jooseyfruit · 21/07/2010 21:52

no i hate olives. Although I do frequently try to like them, but to no avail.

Oh, well, if there are no olives in the Big Shop I may have to just visit for laksa and not actually move in. Sorry.

my favourite salmon and broccoli combo is this:

marinade salmon in a mixture of light and dark soy sauce, some honey and some chilli flakes. Quantities not that important.
Grill (I do it in a George Foreman Grill)
pour the remainder of the marinade in a pan and allow to thicken over a gentle heat..
Serve with noodles - drizzle some toasted sesame oil on it and then drizzle the thickened syrup over too.
Serve with steamed/boiled broccoli.

Found this recipe in a magazine ages ago and it's become a firm favourite.

I think salmon is wasted in a curry, lots of cheaper white fish you can curry instead.

oh there's usually olives in, in fact I have two tins of the green ones stuffed with something, in the cupboard. The kids like them you see (freaks).

Welcome for Laksa anytime. Obviously it would be a bit weird if you moved in.
