Went into work today and my colleague told me her purse had been stolen from her bag on Saturday.
Basically she had done her shopping, was getting into her car and had put her bag on the passenger seat.
A man approached her, waving a bunch of leaflets at her asking for directions. He walked around the back of her car and she followed him to give directions. She left her bag on the passenger seat.
After giving directions she got back in the car. Bag was still on the passenger seat. She stopped at her bank to get some money out, opened her bag and her purse was gone.
Think she was targeted because she is female (obviously), older (late 60's) and on her own. Would hate to think of this happening to anyone else, so please tell your friends rellies just to be careful if approached for directions when they are in the process of getting into their cars.
Sorry if this is long.
