booked our holiday this year through an indep private owner of a caravan on a haven park.

paid deposit and recieved a receipt and basic info very quickly.

I sent the balance last week and emailed to say it was on its way, the owner emailed back to say she had recieved it on the 7th and "I will send the forms for ents passes and a receipt on friday when the cheque should have cleared"

well I have still got nothing and have emialed last thursday to ask what is going on and have no reply yet.

I notice from my online banking that the cheque cleared on the 12/13th so later than she thought which makes me think she didnt post out when she said she would, which i totally understand

AIBU to think she should have told me this though? I have a mobile number but dont like to make a fuss. DH says maybe they were away last week and I should give it a couple more days to see if they email back.

I was always worried about renting privately and now concerned that she's run off with the money. Should I phone or not?
