OK, this is a last desperate bid to solve the problem before I resign myself to forking out for a new washing machine to replace our one that is not that old, but outside the warranty period .
The scenario is this. When our washing machine is switched on, the drum goes round and round, but the machine doesn't take in any water. We call out the engineer. The engineer tries it and tells us it seems to be working fine now. The machine washes OK for one wash. Then the same things happen again. So again we call out the engineer. Again the machine works properly when the engineer tries it. Engineer has now been out three times and by now is probably thinking we are engaged in some bizarre form of attention seeking
So, we have a washing machine that works sometimes provided it has had a break of several days between washes (-not a practical option in our household). Has anyone else had this? And did you ever find out what the problem was and get it fixed, or did you just conclude that washing machine was possessed by dark forces and best to remove from house?
NB We have had the selecter switch changed. Upshot: machine did its thing of working for one wash only.
