this afternoon
House is clean, I have chores to do, but nothing that can't wait. I should chase jobs, but no-one every around on Friday afternoon and have been talking to people all week and its exhausting.
I never have any time to myself. nothing
DS's nursery time I spend doing all the things that are easier to do without him. or housework.
my back is killing me, and I have about 100 hours of tv on sky+

what d'ya think?

Of course - do you even need to ask?

mamaloco · 16/07/2010 11:31

take a break!

purpleturtle · 16/07/2010 11:32

Make sure you've got chocolate, too.

MathsMadMummy · 16/07/2010 11:33

YANBU.

I will be mostly mooching on the laptop even more when DD is at preschool later. I finished my massive assignment yesterday, I'm starting the next lot tomorrow while DH takes the kids out. I deserve a break today!

enjoy the TV, what will you be watching?

MathsMadMummy · 16/07/2010 11:34

oh yes, chocolate essential - I will go via the shop after dropping DD off!

ChippingIn · 16/07/2010 11:35

I can't believe it even occured to you to ask!!!

Just add tea/coffee/wine and it will be perfect

whatname · 16/07/2010 11:36

haven't even finished Lost yet! and I have the whole series of the Good Wife. and have yet to finish Damages or Ashes to Ashes.

we only have the 5 channels so don't watch much TV. I'm currently obsessed with reading a lot of education stuff online so that (and more MNing!) will be my afternoon sorted. got a book of children's activities from the library so I'll be writing down the good ideas from that too. relaxing for me

Careful · 16/07/2010 11:53

YABU. You should lie on the couch and mumsnet instead - much more entertaining.

BaronConker · 16/07/2010 11:57

Oooh, I loved the Good Wife, and watched it mostly while DS3 was at nursery! It's long, too, I think about 14 episodes. Enjoy!

foureleven · 16/07/2010 12:00

Have a biscuit on me

do it. I can offer you a yummy krispy kreme donut if you like?

MathsMadMummy · 16/07/2010 13:37

I have returned from dropping DD off, with a curly wurly and a pizza to stick in the oven

SirBoobAlot · 16/07/2010 13:38

I was going to say YANBU, I then I saw what you were planning on watching.

Shocking behaviour, really...

driedapricots · 16/07/2010 13:50

nope. yanbu. i'm doing the same. in fact i'm going back to bed in a bit. self indulgence is a rare treat and i relish every nano second of it right now (2 weeks away from birth of dc2)

whatname · 16/07/2010 22:54

Now caught up with Lost and am very confused and very emotional!

Good Lord, OP, why are you even asking? You have a job of work to do, and need to make a timetable so you can get through those boxed sets.

You know it makes sense.
