just opened active threads and its aibu aibu aibu fucking aibu.

don't hide behind aibu to be smug

don't hide behind aibu to get a load of docile people to tell you - that actually leaving a handprint when smacking is wrong.
or
to expect a nursery to be honest

or to post about your bank - put that in finance surely?

i am worried that the tongue in cheek aspect had done an elvis presley and suddenly everyone is treating it like a rhetorical question or to boast

Oh God I am terrible for posting in AIBU when I want people to me nice to me.

Sorry

Its a really quick way to get a reaction and lots of replies.

I would never post a AIBU if I thought people would say 'yes you are you stupid cow' I wouldnt cope.

In my defence I think my AIBU have usually been about people upseting me re my late DD and I have needed a quick fix of collective MN outrage.

I love AIBU. Its the best bit about MN although I sometimes feel a bit dirty for likeing it so much.

Maisiethemorningsidecat · 15/07/2010 22:51

DH has just come in, looked at the screen, pointed out that I've now been on MN for the best part of 3 hours tonight, and glared a hard glare.

I'd better go and throw the dog a bone, as they say. Night night, all.

And Grace? You can just fuck off.

so aibu is the new chat really

thefirstmrsDeVere · 15/07/2010 23:11

The SN boards are brilliant and the people are great but they can be very quiet. Its sometimes much easier to post on AIBU.

YANBU.

My favourite: 'AIBU to think my dc's friend had the most disturbing lunchbox contents I've ever seen - white bread, Fruit shoots...' with pretence of concern at the poor child's diet but of course just a way for OP to boast about her award-winning lunchbox provision.

Cue the swathe of 'No wondrous mother you are not BU - here's what I put into MY child's lunchbox - organic quinoa, homemade soda bread...'

Ooh boring myself now. Soz, am too hungover to be witty! (AIBU to have a hangover on school day?)

mumbar · 16/07/2010 16:37

proudsnad YANBU!!!!

proudnsad · 16/07/2010 16:44

ha ha, ta mumbar.

I'm dying now [thinks 'hair of the dog']

bundle · 16/07/2010 16:48

yanbu

tis lazy indeed

GetOrfMoiLand · 16/07/2010 16:50

Christ.

Think some sherbets were consumed last night.

Love AIBU. I only ever start threads in AIBU and chat. AIBU is the fastest moving board so thionk that's why people post there.

Yes do agree 'AIBU to think slapping a child and leaving a handprint' should be answered no shit, sherlock. What's the point in AIBUs wheer everyone is going to agree with you. AIBU is for rows and fisticuffs.

proudnsad · 16/07/2010 16:53

Fuck you GetOrfML. Get a life. Etc. Ouch, head. No, too fragile for fisticuffs, sorry. Many sherberts in the Proud household.

proudnsad · 16/07/2010 16:57

Thanks. Could you add a nip of gin to it?

Headbanger · 16/07/2010 17:03

There's a fucking ace one on there at the moment about renting. The OP has the most marvellous, elegant, pithy phrasing - and glorious knockers as well, I'll be bound.

proudnsad · 16/07/2010 17:10

Can't you just provide links for those of us suffering from over excess ill health?

FindingMyMojo · 16/07/2010 17:12

I agree with GETOFF

But would like to also say I wish all the 'MN "It's the rules" police' should go check themselves, and stop trying to tell good MN'ers what they should and should not be doing. It's a forum & everyone is going to be a little different. No one wants to listen to you whine on about wrong group/must read the entire 10 pages before commenting/must do this & not do this bossy old buzzibody business.

HecateQueenOfWitches · 16/07/2010 21:14

Do I need to bother anyone with my constant complaint about the poor filing?

whomovedmychocolate · 16/07/2010 21:20

I quite like AIBU - it's for people who have the bollocks to let their insane rantings stand the test of time, instead of putting them in chat so they disappear once you've all calmed down a bit.

So bollocks YABU - if you don't like it, go look at pram porn and talk about fairy hammocks on chat
