Tortington · 15/07/2010 20:12

just opened active threads and its aibu aibu aibu fucking aibu.

don't hide behind aibu to be smug

don't hide behind aibu to get a load of docile people to tell you - that actually leaving a handprint when smacking is wrong.
or
to expect a nursery to be honest

or to post about your bank - put that in finance surely?

i am worried that the tongue in cheek aspect had done an elvis presley and suddenly everyone is treating it like a rhetorical question or to boast

OP posts:
Ladyanonymous · 15/07/2010 20:41

I liked the one where the OP sent her dad a dirty text - had me chuckling all day

mumbar · 15/07/2010 20:42

I actually find it helpful. I post when I'm genuinly angry about something and want to know if thats justified or im being precious before I put my size nines in it.

If you have no comment to a thread do not reply

Ladyanonymous · 15/07/2010 20:45

Agree with mumbar.

Oblomov · 15/07/2010 20:45

Sorry Custy, what is the actual complaint ?
Agree with barrister, we haven't had any really meaty / interesting ones for ages. bit dull at the mo. I keep refreshing my 15 minutes search trying to find threads to post on. Not good.

HeywoodJablome · 15/07/2010 20:48

Do you mean those AIBU to be upset that my neighbour killed my puppy, smeared his cheeks with it's blood whilst shitting on my tulips - type threads?

Because if you want sympathy, just ask.

Maisiethemorningsidecat · 15/07/2010 20:59

Perhaps we need new threads. Post here if you require sympathy. Post here if you want to be called a precious princess without a life who needs to get out more. Post here if you want people to agree with everything you say. Post here if you want people to disagree with everything you say. Post here if you just want to insult everyone.

That type of thing?

southeastastra · 15/07/2010 21:01

mn was better before aibu! so there

but i would like a 'post here if you want everyone to agree with you' topic

tethersend · 15/07/2010 21:17

As a taxpayer, I say leave him.

scottishmummy · 15/07/2010 21:19

best bit of mn is aibu.funny.pacey.cringey.mn has improved considerably since its intro.better than asking the i'll get the popcorn/wheres me hard hat/we did that already mn jury what they think.

aibu is so diverse and laugh out loud funny. the sheer volume of posts is indicative of its popularity

mumbar · 15/07/2010 21:23

best one recently was the text to dad. just made me wet myself for days!!

I have actually had my eyes opened by aibu. Recently the one about ebf and making people cringe opened up my eyes to a whole range of benefits for ebf and how many do it and actually changed my mind on a few things - more than reding a text book or leaflet could because debates ate 2 sided, info text is - we are right. iyswim.

ItsGraceActually · 15/07/2010 21:29

Maisie: "Post here if you just want to insult everyone."

I thought that was AIBU?

Mumbar, it's opened my eyes to a few things as well! Have now cleaned & sterilised the soles of a pair of blunt-heeled shoes, for use when visiting people who've got white carpets, polished wooden floors and/or rug-licking babies

mumbar · 15/07/2010 21:32

ok so somes a bit but others have been hilarious and informative!!!!

I have cream brown carpets in hall so perhaps IBU not to ask people to do this but as flat goes into hall with rooms off it seems a tad excessive for me. I'm saving up for laminate

Maisiethemorningsidecat · 15/07/2010 21:33

So true, Grace!

I quite like AIBU, esp. the ones of the Jeremy Kyle variety. What I don't like is when people don't agree with me. I mean, hello? Can you not see how wrong you are??

scottishmummy · 15/07/2010 21:35

love when aibu goes tits up and op gets humphy.pausing only to personally thank affirmative posts.pointedly ignoring contrary opinions

Maisiethemorningsidecat · 15/07/2010 21:55

Depends what the contrary opinions are. The get a life princess, get over yourself, stop being so precious comments when the OP is being pretty reasonable and they're patently not make my teeth ache and I have to physically stop myself from typing FUCK THE FUCK OFF YOU STUPID FUCK in a loud voice.

scottishmummy · 15/07/2010 21:58

if anyone typed that fuckity fuck rant.id think bampot.and suggest go have a lie down princess

ilovemydogandMrObama · 15/07/2010 21:58

Go Maisie!

scottishmummy · 15/07/2010 22:02

go what?what an inane thing to type.go as in yo sista dont you take no shit princess or i'll slap dem dissers

oh yo go

Maisiethemorningsidecat · 15/07/2010 22:03

And I wouldn' care what you think because you'd be wrong and I'd be right. Get a life, get over yourself, ya numpty.

MrsTicklemouse · 15/07/2010 22:05

I was convinced I was the only that felt that way!

Also very rarely a legitimate question is asked or point raised that would have got sensible replies worded differently in the correct topic but instead causes a row in AIBU

scottishmummy · 15/07/2010 22:08

are you pickin a wee barney?cause i sniggered at go maise.well the phrase is evocative of bingo wings and daytime chat shows

Maisiethemorningsidecat · 15/07/2010 22:10

Aye, I'm picking a barney - so whit?

ItsGraceActually · 15/07/2010 22:12

Oh, FGS, MrsT, get over yourself, who are you to decide what's legitimate? And CORRECT???! I bet you're a teacher like the one who write's STUPID COMMENT'S on my genius DS's report's! I've told her he's got an IQ of 307 fgs!!!!

Youre just jealous. Princess

ItsGraceActually · 15/07/2010 22:13

oops, I meant your just jealous ...

Maisiethemorningsidecat · 15/07/2010 22:14

FUCK THE FUCK OFF YOU FUCK, Grace.
