You would think that given I pay £££ a year for the joy of parking outside my house they could at least give me some warning rather than just towing the bloody thing. They sent me a text message and have my email address.

And yes I know IABU but they have a policy here now of not clamping or towing any more when visitors' permits expire so you'd think they'd extend the same courtesy to the residents!

Thank you I have calmed down now I realised that it was my mistake. They sent me an email reminder apparently. When I said that I didn't think I'd got it the woman said 'well that's how you asked to be contacted so that's your responsibility'
