Has anyone used these? Do they make you feel sick and your moles go darker? Also has anyone used them while pregnant and did they effect your baby eg. were they born with funny coloured skin?

GeekOfTheWeek · 15/07/2010 14:23

Are you taking the piss?

diamondsandtiaras · 15/07/2010 14:26

I've got a vague idea that they do actually exist.........but pregnant? Are you having a laugh?

OldLadyKnowsNothing · 15/07/2010 14:27

Here's a long discussion from 2008.

diamondsandtiaras · 15/07/2010 14:28

have just asked Uncle Google (fountain of all knowledge), and it would seem that tanning injections aren't licensed and are illegal in the UK. I'm guessing that's for a reason.

biddysmama · 15/07/2010 14:29

i dont understand why anyone would want to inject themselves withsomething they dont need

biddysmama · 15/07/2010 14:30

ooooh maybe the op pregnant to a white man and their partner is black and needs the baby to be coloured ala footballers wives?

RedArsedBaboon · 15/07/2010 14:31

davethedeer - just come over to MN today then? First post and all that. Not replying to the questions on your own thread?

RedArsedBaboon · 15/07/2010 14:32

Go back to PH now and play with your cars

GeekOfTheWeek · 15/07/2010 14:33

They are available over here. Not licensed.

Side effects and long term damage unknown.

I had a patient about 4 years ago that had used them and he went yellow. Tests were done for liver function but I have no idea of the results as i went off duty.

diamondsandtiaras · 15/07/2010 14:34

biddy i think you may have hit the nail on the head. Forget the tanning injections idea OP, and invest in some brown shoe polish.

ShadeofViolet · 15/07/2010 14:35

The idiots are getting more and more idiotic.

PandaEis · 15/07/2010 14:38

i have never heard of tanning injections but i think you can get tablets that pigment your skin.

i cant imagine ever wanting to pollute my body with something that i have no idea what is in it just to get browner skin i am white as a ghost too and i dont tan naturally either so never likely to have a tan naturally.

if you are pregnant and you are considering this, all i can say is i am as to why you would think it may be a good idea to inject your body with god knows what and possibly harm your baby all for a tan...never heard of false tan?

ShirleyKnot · 15/07/2010 14:56

I had them tri weekly while I was pregnant.

When my baby was born he looked like Dale Winton.

Just13moreyearstogo · 15/07/2010 15:01

If you are pregnant you should not be giving a moment's thought to injecting yourself with an unproven substance. If you absolutely must have a tan (and please ask yourself why you feel you must - lost of fake tan looks ridiculously fake) PLEASE wait till after your baby's born.

davethedeer · 15/07/2010 15:02

ShirleyKnot, is that true? Has your baby turned out a normal colour now? Were there any other effects and were you not worried when you took them? I take it you would not take them again if you were pregnant?

paisleyleaf · 15/07/2010 15:07

at ShirleyKnot
double at "ShirleyKnot, is that true?"

Just13moreyearstogo · 15/07/2010 15:12

ShirleyKnot= wind up/ OP = troll (I hope)

paisleyleaf · 15/07/2010 15:18

I think maybe more of a journo than a troll.

ShirleyKnot · 15/07/2010 15:24

My baby is still quite orange TBH, although he's not a baby anymore he's a strapping lad of 14. THe only other side effects are that he occasionally shouts out "BRING ON THE WALL!" when we're in restaurants; and also he seems to have an aversion to Supermarkets.

diamondsandtiaras · 15/07/2010 16:35

rofl..........f**k me that's funny!

Dear god some people are dumb, right up there with injecting a toxin into your face.

Still, not my body so I don't care.
