frigging school jumpers <screams>

Bought DS an 'official' school jumper, £10.

He wore it to school and it went missing, I hadn't put his name in it yet, its gone a week.

I finally find it and write his name in it TWICE.

Now its gone again.

I'm really pissed off, its been gone a week again now.

The parents must notice its not their kids jumper!! For the fsct its brand new, its one with yellow trim (most just wear generic green one) and its got his NAME in it.

Go and speak to the teacher if in primary, but you have little or no chance if it is secondary. Speaking from experience we have lost many, many, items at secondary level.

No its reception.

I might ask her to check the kids jumpers.

This used to drive me insane. The parents DO know it's not their kid's jumper but half the time, their child has had theirs stolen or lost and so they think fairs fair and keep the one they bring home.

At our school, parents have even cut out the label of the jumper their child brings home so the other child's name is no longer in it!!

Parents at our school now write the names in black marker pen on the inside of the actual fabric so it can't be cut out.

Its so anoying isn't it?!

I'm going to do that, write on the fabric

I bought those iron on labels and put on on the inside where the label is and one on the outside hem at the back for all to see. DS is only in YrR so doesn't care at all.

This is what you need to do .....sew a constrasting line on the outside neck just under the ribbed neckline, sew it in a vibrant colour but just a small bit.

THEN you just have to keep an eye out.

Ive been doing it for years.
