not to want my DH to know my Mumsnet username

DH thinks that I read mumsnet all the time.

He managed to find my username and look at the (very few) threads I have been on.

I haven't said anything particularly shocking or slagged DH off, I just want to have something private that he isn't going to rootle through.

I have changed my username now but if he reads this he will know it is me.

I am in exactly the same situation with my husband.

And if we all say that, your dh will never know who you are....

My DH does know my name and I don't really care anymore (although I did - sometimes you just want something that's yours) as I think he knows better than to go snooping - but just namechange again if there's something deeply personal you want to sound off about.

Internet explorer now has 'private browsing' whichh you can open from the 'safety' bit at the top. stops leaving a trail for your hubby.

my DH knows my name on here and he joined too but I doubt if he searches my posts often. He has a life too (and an on-line life) so wouldn't waste the time.

My Dh thinks that I too am obsessed with MN, but it's just that I have so many 'I read this interesting thing the other day' things to say.

I wouldn't ant him to know my username, as I like the anonymity of this, and also little does he know it saves him from dealing with a lot of my vexations as I discuss them on here first.

I think it's much better that we are free to express ourselves and perfect our rants vent our frustrations here where no one gets hurt!

Same here, in fact I was thinking of posting the very same thing. He wants me to quit MN as he thinks it is really bitchy with "fruitloops who have nothing better to do all day than whinge about men and kids". Who has been listening to Matthew Wright then?

dh knows my mn name and copied it himself for football manager (stainespassif). i would be very surprised if he searched for me on here. but i tend not to post about personal stuff anyway, so.....
