... with another mother at school? Fete on Saturday, everyone shattered Saturday evening so we stacked all the oddments on a classroom, and I said I'd come in early this morning to sort it out.

Got there at 7.45, dragging practically still asleep ds who had sat up to watch the football - to discover that she had been in earlier and finished the job already. Grrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!! How passive-aggressive is THAT!!!!!!

So the job was done, and you didn't need to do it? Perhaps thanks would be in order? It would have been nice for her to tell you that you didn't need to drag yourself in, but maybe she'd just finished and was heading home before contacting you?

Callisto · 12/07/2010 09:48

Maybe she didn't realise you were going to do it?

smellmycheese · 12/07/2010 09:51

Unless there is more to this story in back history, URBVU!

Maybe she thought it would be a kind thing to do for you? A nice surprise? Maybe she miss heard you and thought u said 'we'll have to come in early'?

Why do people always jump to negative assumptions, especially regarding other mums!?

Rosieeo · 12/07/2010 09:52

Does she have a history of being passive-aggressive? Because if not, I'd just be grateful that it was done and I didn't have to do it!

EricNorthmansmistress · 12/07/2010 09:53

I don't think it's passive aggressive on the face of it.

seeker · 12/07/2010 09:55

I meant to say that I KNEW I was being unreasonable - sorry, forgot to add that bit in my post! And I have sent her a thank you text.

But she did know that I was going to do it - we discussed where I would put things.

OP posts:
PfftTheMagicDragon · 12/07/2010 10:01

She really should have let you know that she was going to do it.

seeker · 12/07/2010 13:58

update.

She replied to my "thank you" text with "Thank you for turning up".

I may kill her later.
