To wonder where the hell is my shopping and/or money?

pissedrightoff · 11/07/2010 20:17

Last night I checked my bank account online, £105.00 is the balance. Fine, I'll do an online shop at asda to arrive tomorrow.
Total shopping comes to £80.76.

Shopping does not arrive today and when I call to enquire why, I am told that there were insufficent funds in my account.

I then check online balance,£24.24 suggesting that between last night and now £80.76 has been debited.
Phoned bank to make enquiries and indeed Asda have taken the amount and bank gave me the authorisation number.I ask if it is possible that it is a pending payment, bank says no, as it has come off the balance then the payment has went through.

Phone Asda back, not helpful in the slightest, They say that they have not recieved the money, I tell them I have an authorisation code from my bank and an available balance which says otherwise. They say they will look into it and call me back at midday tomorrow.

So I now have only £24,Very little food, live in the back of beyond so no shops, will have to take two buses to a tesco tomorrow to see how far my £24 will stretch for baby food, milk and wipes.

Where is my money if it's not in my bank and Asda say they don't have it????

Oh, ignore the MSE invasion. They are obviously completely lacking in empathy and compassion.

PRO obviously budgets carefully and would not have been in this situation if Asda had not screwed up the payment.

She was not expecting anything more than her shopping or a refund, not at the beginning of this thread THREE DAYS AGO.

Imagine looking in your purse and discovering that you only had £24 to feed yourself, your DH and your baby for the rest of the week. Through no fault of your own.

Glad that they are sending your order, let's hope they do more than that.

PumpyFartyBum · 13/07/2010 17:02

TellingItStraight: obviously you don't realise that lambert are not chav fags, so stick that one up your fuckin' arris.

Also, she has every right if she wanted to cry, but not seen one tear, have you? Didn't think so. Run along, trollop.

TellingItStraight · 13/07/2010 17:02

She living close to the edge because there is always dry food in, theres always something to eat, I think the OP should be pissed but not as pissed as she is

Reapy · 13/07/2010 17:03

And I sincerly hope you never have any money problems, TellingItStraight. Things can happen, even to the haugty middle/upper classes dear. If your husband becomes redundant and Daddy can't give you enough money, how will you be able to survive?

Not everyone who doesn't have a large bank balance is a chav.

Get over yourself.

belledechocolatefluffybunny · 13/07/2010 17:03

Would you like a spanner TellingItStraight, it may help you to get your head out of your arse.

Oh grown up TIS.

SMA, that made ma laugh! (The green/red door, not your delivery.) I'd have been tempted to say "oh go on, I dare you to kick my door down". Maybe that's because I'm a chav after all...

swanandduck · 13/07/2010 17:04

Or a big spoon TIS to keep stirring. That is what you're doing, right? You can't seriously hold those opinions???

WingsTHEangel · 13/07/2010 17:04

If you laugh a lot at something are you to say you laughteded

PumpyFartyBum · 13/07/2010 17:05

Assumptions will not get you far in life, TIS.

TellingItStraight, have you ever tried giving dry food to a baby? LOL

I'd very much like to see you try!!

weblette · 13/07/2010 17:06

How disappointing, I would have expected an MSE troll to be a little more literate. Maybe we'll get a better one along soon.

MmeLindt · 13/07/2010 17:06

Tellingitstraight
Ok, hypothetical situation.

You order a Bang & Olaffson Hifi System from John Lewis (that middle class enough for you), checking first that you have enough money in your account to pay for it. JL cock up the order, take the money out twice and refuse to refund you, meaning that your account is overdrawn and you are unable to afford to buy the case of wine you were planning to order from the Sunday Times Wine Club.

Would you sit back and wait for JL to refund your money a week later, or would you cause a fuss until you had your refund.

pissedrightoff · 13/07/2010 17:06

Anyone a fan of irony????
I used up all dry goods/everything in the freezer over the space of two weeks in order to save money as per the advice on a money saving forum........money saving expert

Get the violins out for TellingItStraight. Would anyone like a tissue?

littlemissindecisive · 13/07/2010 17:07

It really makes no difference how much the op spent or has left in her account - the fact is they took her money then never delivered her shopping, won't refund her and she's had a load of hassle trying to sort it out.

TellingItStraight - go and sit in the corner; there's a dear.

Right.

Back to business.

It's after five. Have the groceries arrived pissedrightoff?

MisSalLaneous · 13/07/2010 17:08

TIS, to troll successfully on here you'd have to do better than "in Eton". For what it's worth, you're making an arse out of yourself. Then again, you're probably used to it.

BlameItOnTheBogey · 13/07/2010 17:08

TIS; Don't want to get into an argument but it is one thing to feed 3 people on 24 pounds a week (easily manageable) and another to also have to buy nappies, formula etc from that. They are hugely expensive.

Your parents money was wasted if they sent you to Eton as you clearly didn't learn alot. Maybe you should hop back to the MSE site so you don't make the same mistakes.

pissedrightoff · 13/07/2010 17:09

TIS would it interest you to know that husband is a doctor and I am on maternity leave and neither of us smoke?
