Here are the details for a new allergy trial - it was linked to on the Allergy UK newsletter, and I thought someone on here might be interested?

Thank you Sarah !

If anyone would like to email me, I could send some details. I am working with the research study.

Hi BridgetC, my 16month old son is CMP intollerent, and we would have been interested in the trial, but he is still breastfeed. I intend to BF him for a while yet because he finds Neocate so disgusting! Do you know if there are any plans to extend the trial in the future to BF children?

Oh well. DS is 2.3, so ineligible.

Hello, Just to say to cakeforbrains - my 9 month old also hated the taste of neocate but I really wanted to stop breastfeeding, so the dietician at the hospital said I could use Nesquik banana milkshake powder and add it to the neocate. He wasn't too keen at first but now he loves it, and it didn't take too long to do the swap. He was grumpy very briefly and was fine after 2 to 3 days.

I am now going to gradually reduce the amount of milkshake powder till hopefully he won't need it at all. It's mostly made with sugar/natural colours and flavours. My DS is allergic to practically everything you can think of but this he can tolerate.
