CMPA: Beef ok?

DS has mild CMPA, and I have given him beef- seems to like it. He has no reaction that I can see. So... is that OK? What do other parents do/ have you noticed any reaction? Or is it actually safe anyway..?

The paediatrician didnt tell me not to but I have learnt that means sweet fa...

Beef is nearly always fine. If you haven't noticed a reaction then that's great. (BTW, my DS has CMPA and eats a ridiculous amount of minced beef.)

Yes only a very tiny percentage of children with CMPA also react to beef. My DD is allergic, but loves a good cottage pie! Good source of high calorie protein and fats in the absence of dairy too.

My MIL warned me against giving beef my CMP allergic DD, as "beef is dairy" , turns out from her blood tests she is not allergic to beef! They are 2 different allergies.
